Turn End Trust launches Friends of Turn End Scheme

4.0.1

Turn End Charitable Trust is introducing a new ‘Friends of Turn End’ scheme.

The Trust was established in order to protect the Turn End estate for future generations, make it available for the public benefit, and promote public knowledge and understanding of architecture, garden design, and the relationship between them. To do this, in 2014 we launched an annual programme of events, aiming year by year to increase public access to the house and gardens, and broadening the range of events. The Trust though needs help. Like all charitable organisations, we depend on the public for our survival. Particularly now, since the Trust is still young and vulnerable. But that in turn depends on the public being able to take advantage of the estate as far as possible through the four seasons of the year. This is why we are pleased to announce the launch of the Turn End Friends Scheme, starting now in 2015.

Membership brings with it:

1. Free garden visits by appointment for Friends and their guest.

2. An early bird facility for booking Trust events before the 30th March 2015.

3. An invitation to be our guest at a reception to inaugurate the Friends scheme at Turn End on Saturday 4th July 2015, including a visit to the house and garden.

4. Free entry to an Open Garden event on 22nd September 2015 14.00 – 17.00.

Friend Annual Membership rates for 2015 are £25 for individual membership and £35 for joint membership.

Founding Friends

In order to boost the launch of the Friends scheme, we invite those who would like to provide significant initial support to the scheme to become a Founding Friend. Founding Friends make a one-off minimum donation of £200, enjoy additional benefits to the Friends level of membership, and in the process become a Friend for life. For further details, please contact us.

Corporate Membership

We will be happy to discuss arrangements for Corporate Membership. Please contact us for more details.

All income from the Friends scheme will be used solely for enabling Turn End Charitable Trust (Registered Charity number 1072771) to fulfil its objects in line with the requirements of the Charity Commission. The Trust is indebted to Margaret and Peter Aldington for the use of their house and garden.
