Turn End Trust’s patron, architect Richard Murphy, has invited Peter Aldington to exhibit alongside him at the Royal Scottish Academy’s Annual Exhibition in Edinburgh.
The RSA Annual Exhibition showcases work from RSA Academicians the length and breadth of Scotland. Now in its 190th year, exhibits contemporary painting, sculpture, film, printmaking, photography, installation and architecture.
The convenor of this year’s exhibition Robin Webster OBE RSA, has chosen the title of HOME and invited fellow architects to exhibit their explorations on what HOME might mean. The exhibition presents innovative houses which have been completed and working ideas for as yet unrealised projects. Each Academician architects has invited a non-member architect to be part of the exhibition, showcasing architecture from Scotland, the rest of the UK and further afield.
A display of images of Richard Murphy’s own recently completed house in Hart Street, Edinburgh, sits alongside photographs of Turn End and other houses designed by Peter Aldington.
The exhibition runs from 16 April – 26 May 2016 at the RSA Building, The Mound, Edinburgh. Admission costs £5/£3 (inc. catalogue), free on Fridays (catalogue £3).
