Open Garden Weekend

The studios will also be open for ‘Bucks Open Studios’ from Monday 19th to Sunday 25th June 2017. Free admission; a small donation to visit Turn End garden.
Come and spend a leisurely day enjoying the tranquil environment of the garden in early summer. Visit the studios of Heather Hunter and Paul Wilkinson during this Bucks Open Studios weekend (free admission to studios). Teas and homemade cakes (also available for non-garden visitors).

Turn End Talk: An afternoon and talk with Dr. Alan Powers ‘Modern Houses – the Smooth and the Hairy’
Saturday 2nd September 2017: 14.30 in Haddenham Methodist Church, then Turn End garden

Come and meet Alan Powers, Trustee and former Chairman of the Twentieth Century Society. Alan writes and lectures on art, architecture and design, mainly of the twentieth century. He has specialised in the history of the private house in the Modernist period, and was the author of ‘Twentieth Century Houses in Britain’, as well as ‘Aldington, Craig and Collinge’. He grew up in a smooth Modern house designed by his father but has lived in a Georgian one in London for nearly 35 years. Tea and cakes at Turn End included.
Themed Quiz Night
Saturday 14th October 2017: 19.00-22.30 in Haddenham Youth & Community Centre
£10 Booking required
Book or join a table; take part in a themed quiz with rounds specifically related to architecture, garden, arts and creativity. Bring your own wine and nibbles.
